A LESSON FROM LEBANON Suddenly, all
the candidates for the Prime Minister’s office want to get out of Lebanon,
and quickly.
How did that happen?
A small group of courageous and determined women dared to stand
up to the so-called "national concensus", against the most powerful
lobby in the country, the senior army officers. The events proved them
right, and the majority was convinced.
The same thing must happen regarding the withdrawal from the
Palestinian territories. Otherwise – as in Lebanon, only more so – blood
will be spilled for nothing.
The handful of women gave a lesson: the few can change the
opinion of the many, and where there is an irresponsible government,
citizens must take responsibility.
